The "ROBIN HOOD" Law

The New "Robin Hood" Law OR
The Start of Equal Opportunities OR
Whatever You Want to Call It

INTRODUCTION
(feel free to skip this part)

I know (in fact.. i think) i'm not the first one to come up with this idea but the way i am, i will never consult literature just to make sure.
I've allways respected other people's opinions and when they match or closely resemble mine i am very proud and feel great accomplishment and satisfaction, but i will never be a blind follower of anyone or anything. I will question highest authorithies and might even totally disapprove of something the whole world says i shoud approve of. I think you should do the same thing and allways think for yourself.
No philosopher or scientist (or any other "great unquestionable authority" on anything) can ever tell you how to live and perceive your life or what kind of human being you will be.
You should only judge yourself for you will allways know when you could have done the right thing, but didn't.
Even when you fool yourself and lie to yourself, you will know.

STRAIGHT TO THE POINT

What i've been thinking about for quite some time is beginning to have a name attached to it in my thought patterns or whatever they are. It's because you allways have to find a way to transfer, to convey your message upon other people. Some of them are smarter than you, some aren't, but we are not better or worse because of it. All people like it when they see or hear thoughts of another human being that they can understand.
So i have gradually over time began to use a name that about sums up my main point in this matter - The Robin Hood Law.
I've wanted to somehow start this topic off anywhere and on any scale. Local or global. Big or small. Doesn't matter just as long as it doesn't end up like some of my other ideas that get overwhelmed with a swarm of fresh, new ones. Didn't want it to happen to this one. Allthough it might not be the greatest idea i ever had (and forgotten about) i think it's rather important.
The idea is (and i will draw it for you) that we have a society built upon centuries and milleniums of rather primitive, uncivilized, unjust history. History that was allways shaped and influenced by blind accumulation of power. By power i mean assets, in most, but not all cases. Gold, land, slaves, money, any kind of goods were blindly accumulated because that's the way a man could feel safe and in control. In those cruel and primitive days it often seemed like the only thing to do in order to get what you want, in order to have any real influence on the world arround you. More power and when you get it, more power. In any form.
The 21st century, or the information age brought a flood of opinions expressed, thoughts exchanged and we are witnessing a sort of a revolution going on in terms of common people speaking out and teaming up, collaborating to correct what they see is wrong arround them or simply trying to improve an average man's life... or more precisely, every man's life.
It's happening right now and it's "in its diapers", so to speak.
It's not a violent revolution, you might even exclude the word revolution alltogether.
It's a river that's calmly and confidently flowing toward it's natural goal, whatever or wherever it may be.

I've drawn a picture

It represents the earth and it's population concerning their "financial" status.
The GREEN part of our planet is in "the safe" meaning that they can do anything they want because their existence is assured. They won't starve and they don't have to live in the parts of the world where human rights are the last on the list of priorities. They enjoy a very comfortable life, endulge themselves in every possible way that they can imagine, with a few worthy exceptions that stop to think and really do care about other people, their needs and their rights.

The YELLOW part represents those of us who have the opportunity to make a difference, the majority of people on this planet who work for a living, didn't inherit tons of gold or oil, whatever people inherit these days. They don't cheat anyone and don't really care about "making it big" or they're not determined/tallented enough to realy "make it big" in terms of accumulating power. Some of these people work and live very hard lives, with occasional bits of joy and very little time for entertainment or anything else they would wanna do besides work for survival. Nobody is really asking them what they think is wrong or what should be fixed with the money and products they generate and provide services that make the world tick and make all the "wealthy" people more wealthy. I could go on and on but thats enough i think.

The RED part represents the people who are not able to choose their way in life. They are simply pushed into a situation that will make them starve, die of disease or a bullet or a bomb, or radiation.. or be a victim of intollerance and ignorance.

Now the first picture i drew isn't entirely accurate. It's too optimistic, healthy and sane to represent our reality.
A more accurate
and an even worse drawing :)
looks like this.

...I KNOW, I KNOW
IT LOOKS LIKE A BROKEN CHRISTMAS TREE DECORATION : ))))

BUT THIS IS NOT FUNNY !! : ))
NO, REALLY, IT'S NOT. : |

Here you can see our world, deformed through milleniums of struggle for power.

The GREEN "spike" on top is all-but-completely-detached from the rest of the population.
A lot of the YELLOW-status people are poisoned by the idea of getting into the imaginary "spike", an idea supported by nothing but imaginary numbers in secret bank accounts.
The YELLOW-statuspeople are intentionally being poisoned and lied to in order to keep this illusion of power and make people envy the ones who are "better off" and hunger for it.
All in order to stop the people from getting what they really want, what they know is right and true, but are too busy chasing after their crumbs of power.
The people "in the RED" are standing on thin ground, the earth is eroding arround them. The sun is burning through the holes, and they have no home, nowhere to hide. Nobody taught them how to survive. Nobody was there to feed them untill they got bigger. All they ever got was misery and death.
This world doesn't love them, and they don't have to think about it. It's obvious.

What i'm proposing is a law, an initiative in any form. To enforce moderation of power. To cut a little bit off the spike and move it right down to the erroding bottom. Every now and then when things get too rough. And no organisations. No human aid -you-can't-see-what-we're-doing-but-it's-all-good kind of thing. An exact ammount (based on a percentage) shall be subtracted, and then evenly divided.

And maybe i'll continue this story later... right now it's very hot and the dawn is upon this part of the beautiful world we all call Earth.

Well what do you say?
Would you vote for the Robin Hood Law?
No more all-powerfull people who can do what ever they want with anyone or anything?
No more 2 people doing exact same jobs but for 20 times less money compared to one another?
No more poor tortured human beings who never had their chance?
Would you vote for something like that?
Education, creation, working together to make this world better and safer and pretty as it once was?
WOULD YOU?

P.S.
AFTER i wrote this i looked up "Robin Hood Law" on Google and to my surprise there allready is such a thing. But it's some minor Texas (USA) law which is ok by my standards (concerns taxes and education) but not really related to my idea and it obviously doesn't solve any major problems.

Free

This is a poem i wrote a few years back,
entitled "Free", now translated into English.

Free

You're free only if you love all of them,
The ugly, the stupid and the ill-tempered men.

Whilst in the Dungeon of Despise, you'll suffer.
There's no one to warm your heart and to buffer

The hate that rots and freezes you inside,
Forever trapped, in your Dungeon you will hide.

Share

Just some thoughts which turned into a rhyme in my head.
Not exactly all-positive stance. Not entirely correct.
More of a neutral, balanced point of view that says
"i will not waste myself on useless, futile attempts.
giving & helping someone who will never learn anything
from it is a waste. there are better, more important things
2 do".

Share

I share with the ones that want to share
And care 'bout the ones that want to care

Won't share with the ones that will not share
Nor care 'bout the ones that do not care

I don't really require/demand anything of you.
Only that which you wantz 2 give me.

Though i'd like you 2 do only good things and true
And if i'm wrong than please forgive me.

Share with the ones that want to share
Care 'bout the ones that want to care

Don't share with the ones that will not share
Nor care 'bout the ones that do not care

When someone asks you Who You Are...

I was watching this movie called "One Giant Leap" with my friends the other day, and i felt as if someone took my own thoughts from the past 10 or 15 years and put them on a roll of film. It's allways nice to hear and see your own thoughts and ideas being so perfectly and punctually explained.

Nothing new to me but watching this movie brought a great sense of joy and satisfaction, accomplishment, reassurance. Someone knew the truth and had the means to convey it upon more and more people.
The education is starting. We are getting civilized at last. No one can stop the human being from thinking! It happened once before also... with a movie called Waking Life.

Sometimes i come to these points through conversation with my friends but we rarely manage to reach this level of relevance. Usually when i tried to convey my thoughts i would get a response like "You're living in faerytale land. Stop being naive... stop dreaming, wake up." ... it's not a point if the person i was having the conversation with agreed with me or not - they would allways (well, allmost allways, and i consider that being very lucky) end the conversation with a conclusion like "You have to start thinking practically, people have no time for dreams nowdays, you have to come down to earth and think about yourself... make some money... don't be so soft and naive, don't think about what's right and good all the time..." and similar statements.

I remember my ex-girlfriend once told me that i got to step on people in order to climb and get what i want. Allthough she understood me and wanted the exact same things she was taught by life itself that you got to be mean to people if you want their respect.
But what she (and all those other people who learned one way or another that you have to be evil in order to succeed and achieve your goals) didn't or wouldn't understand is that you teach others just the way someone taught you.

If you're lucky, you will escape this machine, this system of education or mis-education.... counter-education, and you will think for yourself. You will not just "be practical" when you're exactly the oposite of that. You will not think about gaining more power relentlessly threading on other people. You will not teach others to work against each other as if they simply CAN'T WORK TOGETHER. Simply because all the things we do, we do them out of need for something better than we allready have, something we need, or think we need. That's not an individual thing.

You're not the first man in the history of mankind who wanted to eat good food and be healthy, breathe clean air, not worry about getting shot or poisoned by radiation. You're not the first man who wants to raise his children and see them play happily with other children. These are all mutual goals. The last thing we need to do in order to achieve our goals is fight against each other. The last thing we need to teach each other is not to trust anyone, which is "common knowledge" nowdays. Why are we so good at teaching each other destruction and deceit?

If i subtract from your "belongings" and add to mine, i will get much less then if we multiply our efforts and split the benefits in two. A simple calculation leads to reason. You just have to disregard what the world has "taught" you, or what has been forced upon your mind, and start thinking for yourself. It's not an easy thing to do. I struggle with it every day, but it's a worthy struggle and it brings me great joy whenever i win a fight against my "dark side".

Just by living you are obviously trying to make things better for yourself. That's what we all do, otherwise we would just kill ourselves right now. You just have to forget going through life superficially as if someone else has decided what you will think and know and understand that there's a lot of people who don't want YOU to learn anything at all. They need you to think this way in order for them to satisfy their own greed. It's like a disease, and the ones "at the top" keep spreading it "downwards" on this scale of "power", while all of you who embrace this way of life are bound to end up unhappy and feel empty no matter how much power you accumulate.

So whenever someone asks you Who You Are....
what is your answer?

"A doctor"... "a computer expert".. "stock broker"... "journalist" - that's just what you do.
Sometimes it's just the way you make money because you have to survive.

THAT'S NOT WHO YOU ARE !

You are,
in fact,
a
HUMAN BEING,
and
what YOU DO
is
YOU LIVE!
